    HELP! My daily 1984 e30 won't run!

I bought my e30 about 6 months ago and have had all the problems imaginable. As of right now my car won't turn over and start. It will crank but that's it. If it does start it will only keep running if I keep my foot on the gas pedal. Normally when it dies on me it chokes a few times then cuts off or it just cuts straight off. This time when it decided to die on me I realised my in-line fuel pump had been making very loud erratic noise beforehand and for the week before that. I didn't think much of it because it is new. I have replaced spark plugs, distributor wires, ignition coil, coolant temperate sensor, battery, both fuel pumps, oil change/filter, fuel filter, cold start valve, multiple hoses, fuel pressure regulator and the list goes on but not much further. I've been testing electrical now but can't get anywhere. The alternator checks out and I'm looking over my relays. I am constantly searching for a solution so anything would help! I feel like I'm dumping all my money away and getting no further.

UPDATE: I messed with a few things today and got my car running. my throttle switch was damp with oil. How? I'm not sure. I think from a prior leak I fixed. Either way I dried it off and my car is running. I have no idea if this is what got my car running but it seems that way. Not sure if I should replace my throttle switch but am going to test it soon and also Not sure how long my car will be driving in this state.
