my 11 year old daughter just got a Les Paul a few weeks ago. And yesterday she was trying to explain why having 4 guitars is not enough . . .
The first song I ever learned in a formal music lesson on guitar was "In the Mood" (Les Paul's version) and totally blew the teacher out of the water by wanting to learn that. He was an amazing guitarist and inventor. He also invented a "chorus delay repeater" type of effect (I forget what exactly what it did). I'm going to clean my Les Paul out of respect for him. Oh, I know the sound is waaayy different than her Strat, Danelectro, or other guitars. I like the sound of the LP when she plays it a lot better.
EDIT: just realized that with the LP she is up to 5 guitars. oy.Last edited by Dave; 08-13-2009, 11:41 AM.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

The only individual to share membership into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Music wouldn't be what it is today without him, R.I.P.
