    5 speed swap help!

    Hey gang I"m in the middle of my getrag 245/m10 auto to manual swap.

    I have a new flywheel/clutch on.
    clutch pedal etc is attached to car.
    but I can't find a 3 bolt output flange for my getrag 245 so that it fits my auto driveline.

    The auto drive seems to be short enough to work if I find a 3 bolt flange.

    adapter kit or otherwise, I'm on a relatives computer now but I will post pics of my progress.

    Its been ages, but I think you need a manual shaft.
    The auto guibos are different/ bigger.
    Check realoem to make sure...

      The guibo and CSB are all identical between the manual and auto (except the guibo bolts are 8mm longer). You'll need a manual driveshaft since it's two different parts. The manual driveshaft is pn 26104314372 and the auto is 26104314375.

        Whoopsie, you're right- the M10 auto guibo is the same as the manual guibo.

        So just the front half of the driveshaft's different.

        My bad. Too many eta autos in my past...

            If it does, that would be news to me-

            let us know what happens.

            The 2002 crowd has scoured the BMW earth looking for a
            5- speed swap that doesn't require a driveshaft length change,
            and as far as I've heard, has never found one.
