Hey, I have had my '90 325i for several months and love it! The only thing is that I wish it had the 5-speed (I settled for this one because it was a good deal, even though it has the auto). I have been planning to do a swap to a 5-speed since I bought it.
I just got a manual transmission that was out of a '92 E36 325. It has something wrong with it keeping it from going into one of the gears or something. I will have to tear it down and hopefully get it working again. Assuming it is a serviceable tranny I am planning on putting it into the E30.
Now, the questions begin. I'm a little confused on what transmission it is. What is it? Will I have to find the E30 manual tranny mounts and x-member? Will the E30 master/slave cylinders along with the E30 clutch work? Will I need a driveshaft from a manual E30?
