so i started getting the E30 back on the road (sprung a huge coolant leak from an unknown location until last wkend when i figured where exactly it was coming from). Initially thought the 2yr old waterpump went bad, but in fact the bodyshop reinstalled the lower radiator hose too close to the belts, and cut a hole right through the hose. I only noticed this AFTER pulling off the distributor, coolant hoses.

Alternator is also dying in the E30, so i ordered a new volt regulator which i'll try out first before changing the alternator itself.

The allroad, well....numerous issues with that lol. I rely on that car daily, so i brought it to my audi shop to do a timing belt and all associated work with that. Ordered new axles for it to, and just found out its leaking oil from an unknown location. I think one of the turbos is dying too, so its on limited time before i call it quits with this thing. lol.

Also sprung a BIG leak with it...car was taking in 2inches of standing water, and figured out it was coming from a prior owner not installing the lower windshield cowl flush. Fixed that, had to clean/air dry the interior and all was well there.

Lastly the E46 M3....kept going into limp mode prior to me putting it away last fall. I ordered a new throttle actuator and installed that a couple wks ago. Finally got that car on the road (still need to order new rotors and pads)....and possibly new battery, but so far this seems to be my only properly working car at the moment. lol

Treated her to new license plates since NYS has fugly orange ones.

check the motor mounts on the e30. if they are bad, it would make sense that the engine would tilt upward into that radiator hose like that.

right, i can see that you took the picture that way, but the pulley could tilt up into the hose if the motor mounts are bad. there would be play in the engine mount which would allow it to tilt slightly up if you're driving it.

This is what happened to me, but my issue wasn't the compressor pulley and actually the clutch fan tilting into my upper radiator hose. I'm sure you've looked at it though, but just an idea.
