so crank sits in the oil pan? that is a DEEP pan!

can the 3800 series 2 supercharger setup be mated with a 5 or 6mt trans and put in a front engine rwd setup? would be awesome for drifting!

yeah the 3800 has the small corporate bellhousing. theres a few offroad guys who put them in mudding trucks. personally i prefer the 60 degree's due to weight and heads being far superior.

old core support cut out and new one in for the radiator and water to air heat exchanger. 80mm throttle body showed up. throttle body will be relocated to this area.

Very cool, fun to see something different and totally custom!

I laugh at the people saying it ruined the car. These cars aren't that special guys.

thanks man, i really loved the z24, but found some serious cancer. i have a few youtube videos that showed it was clean.

new update, i got clutch components. out comes the mocked up engine, accessory brackets will be made, clutch install, then comes a custom driveshaft.
clutch is a stage 3 6 puck. disc from a svo turbo mustang, high clamp load pressure plate, s10 slave/fork/throwout bearing, flywheel is for a 3.1l cavalier.

In terms of displacement and power, a 3500 is about like an M30B35. The 3500 has a 94mm bore, 84mm stroke and makes ~210 HP stock. The 3400 is the same but with a 92mm bore.

It's also about 100 lbs lighter than an M30.

They are shorter than a BMW 4 cyl and more the CG back significantly compared to an I6. As noted, they are pretty tall.

Small, cheap, crazy stupid horse power...this is probably the best non-bmw engine swap out there!

If engine clearence is that big of an issue I think that gives you an excuse to use a hoodscoop ;)

exactly what i was thinking. 2-3'' hood scoop maybe.. who knows..ill find out as soon as i try and close the hood i guess. im a full time auto technician at a gm dealer and i have little motivation sometimes to even work on my own stuff, and now that its cold.. ehh.. progress will be made soon enough!!

i like the idea of a V6 in an e30. Its nice to see someone thinking outside the box.

As far as the people saying that this guy ruined a bmw.... You're entitled to your opinion's. But I'm also entitled to tell you that you are retarded.
So you're saying that if every morning you woke up, you had the choice to drive a sweet boosted v6 e30 with 500hp, or a stock m20 e30 with 160( and that's assuming you don'thave a 318 or 325e). You would choose the stock busted joint? If you say yes to make a point, you are again retarded.

to OP, Good job man. From what I see you took a decent engine and made it awesome. You took the original engine weight and moved it closer to the center of the car. Yeah it sits a little high, but i'm sure in the future you will fix that with a new oil pan. Just get it going and have some god dang fun in it! Looks awesome, and I am ready for running videos!
