Probably if a guy were into this body style and not concerned about originality, it would be best to buy one of each and combine them.

This is not an Alfa, sorry...but they're closely related.
And there are several Alfas that pop up in the background.
The video host is a giggling twit.
The production quality is very good.
The noises this car makes are fantastic...the gear whine, the shifter, the start-up.
Then he opens it up on the highway - you can almost imagine it at Le Mans.
Who exactly is Philip the driver? Is he a famous collector we should know about?

I found a pic of the car the same year - same Philip, same hat and jacket...

That's a big pile of American Dollars. You could buy a bunch of Alfaholics bits and a twin-plug engine, and build yourself a hell of a GTV, but like Singer, these guys have so much experience in the fine tuning, chassis development, and finishing of these cars that it would be hard to match the look and performance of their product.

there were so many more e30s built than gtv's. my question is why the hell don't we have someone doing exactly this to our cars? we have so much more potential.
you say you want a 400hp m5 engine/6 speed trans in your 325is? no problem! you want m3 body panels on your cabriolet? we can do that too!
this gets me thinking.......who do we know that has the knowhow? perhaps jordan? i just am not sure about his ability or desire to manage a shop.
who do we know that has the capability to manufacture parts? perhaps garagistic? i just don't know that they have the ability to output the quality like alfaholics is doing.
someone needs to start making quality carbon and /or aluminum doors, deck lids and hoods.(eurostop lol! just kidding here) i think someone needs to make a complete suspension system on the level of what alfaholics does. ground control possibly? if there was a suspension system available for an e30 akin to the one pictured above that i could use with my m roadster rear arms, you can bet i would buy it.
on a side note- Will......updaaaaates!!!?????Last edited by flyboyx; 08-24-2017, 06:14 AM.sigpic

I think there are a lot of guys who have done just that here on the r3v. Some sharp-looking, great handling, fast, dialed, professional swaps out there. Cars that look factory, but way more than the factory ever attempted. Lightweight production parts require enough demand to bother with - don't think we're there (yet?).
I don't know my GTV numbers, that basic body was made from '65-ish to '75 in Europe. I know with the Duetto, there were about 6000 bodies made by Pininfarina from '66 to '69, about 3000 of those were 1600 Spiders in '66-'67.

Lack of progress at my house....too many other projects and repairs to just keep up. That's all thick dust. Note E30 manual trans on floor for swap project - somehow it got in line in front of my car!
New control arms, joints, springs, all ready to go on.
I read recently that these aftermarket headlight bubbles tend to shrink away from the opening, like curling up tighter - I just noticed this...
He's got a crooked smile - bent grille bar
