    1991 BMW 325i turbo 5 speed, Apline White/Tan Interior

    1991 BMW 325i (UPDATED 5/16/2016)
I have decided to sell. I love this car, as much as most of everyone else on this board, but the fact is I have an E36 M3 that I love to work on and I don’t want two cars that I mod….gets kind of expensive! I bought a 2013 Audi A4 to be my new DD. You can check out my rebuild here:

I don’t think I need to talk about regular maintenance because 1) I go above and beyond and 2) anyone that knows me can verify that I take great care when it comes to the e30 or e36 M3. I will be as thorough as possible.

    Here are the details:

Body: Alpine White w/ manual sunroof
-Respray in white (originally Alpine White); I did not have the door jams or trunk resprayed and all windows were kept in. I had the body and engine bay resprayed.
-Body has roughly 260k+ miles. Since my refresh, it has 12k miles, and is no longer my daily driver.
-New trim for the front/rear bumpers
    -Euro headlight trim
    -Black grill
    -Clear side front/rear turn signals/reflectors
    -Front smoked turn signals
-BMW OEM fog lights with yellow laminex/new OEM bmw fog light connectors from Bavauto
-US ellipsoids w/ 6500k HIDs and smoked luminex covers
    -Rear license plate filler
-Painted taillight lenses (just the yellow turn signal to red)
    -“Motorsport” door handles
    -E36 antenna mod
    -New windshield
-New side view mirrors (not the housing, just the mirror)
    -New sunroof crank/cover
    -Newly installed Tri-color flag front/rear
-M tech wing (accidentally painted white, so I plastidipped just the top part for contrast – not the best job)
    -New engine seal
    -New hood insulation
    -New trunk seal
    -BMW mud flaps
    -Colgan hood and valence bra

    Interior: Tan
    -Reupholstered front/rear seats/door panels/rear panels
-M Tech steering wheel (I believe 380mm?) with ///M tri color stitching ****NO AIRBAG****
******Passenger side Airbag still exists, but wiring does not******
-Refurbished cluster from BavRest with working odometer
    -Cruise control
    -Integrated boost gauge in tachometer
-New upper black trim (the part the sunroof/sun visors connect to)
-AEM analog AFR gauge in driver’s vent
-Alpine headunit (not Bluetooth) but has iPod cable connected to rear (charges ipod)
-Shift/ebrake boots with ///M tri color stitching
    -UUC shift/ebrake knobs
    -UUC clutch stop
    -Husco armrest
    -New driver/passenger seat belt receptacles
    -New driver/passenger seat shocks ($80 a pop! X 4) I didn’t do all of them.
-Vinyl covered cup holder with cigarette outlet where ashtray was
    -Bavauto tan carpets with “325i”
-StereoInstaller (from R3V) “sound system” featuring his amp rack/sub mount with 5 channel amp and 8” woofer
    -Premium sound system from BMW
-New glove box with locking latch
    -13 button OBC
-George Graves slow dimming interior lights
-George Graves battery voltage where inspection/oil change service light in cluster
-George Graves E36 one touch windows

Engine: 12k miles as of 11 JAN 2016
-Complete refresh. Used stock pistons, rods, crank and had them cleaned
-New crank/main bearings, new “total seal” piston rings
    -Oring block
-Every engine gasket on the engine was new upon reassembly
    -New water pump
    -New T-stat
    -New coolant hoses
    -New mishimoto radiator
    -New coolant reservoir
    -New brake fluid reservoir
    -New windshield washer reservoir
    -New ignition wires
    -New MAIN engine harness
    -New cruise control cable
-Does have A/C: new evaporator, new condenser. No AUX fan, which means this system isn’t the coldest, but I have had to turn it off while driving because it got too cold….so worked for me (Failed on me 5/10/2015 - must be a leak somewhere)
    -New engine mounts
    -Spearco engine brace (red)
    -New ignition coil
    -New ignition wires
    -New rotor/cam
    -New fuse box cover
-Rebuilt head by Bimmerheadz with new timing belt/cam seals, etc
-New oil cooler with new OEM lines
-There are probably things I’m forgetting, but as you can tell, I’ve replaced as many things as I can think of during my rebuild
-New fuel pump, fuel level sendor on driver’s side
    -New fuel tank

    Turbo Setup:
-Started out as a “blueapplesoda” kit from R3Vlimited. With the assistance of a BMW mechanic buddy of mine, this is more a custom setup
-OBX adapter (I do have an goodntight one uninstalled, and included)
-Custom downpipe that wastegate connects to (damn nice piece) that is heat wrapped
    -Custom intake/cold side piping
    -Ebay intercooler
    -APG/BW 256 turbo (less than 5k miles) .63/70
    -Custom heat guard for downpipe
    -Megasquirt 2
    -42lb injectors
    -TIAL 44mm wastegate
    -Ebay BOV
-3” exhaust from downpipe through resonator through vibrant muffler
    -Relocated oil filter
    -Installed catch can

    Suspension:
-New control arms with control arm bushings (lemforder)
    -New tie rods (lemforder)
    -New sway bar end links
    -New strut bearings
-Suspension technique front/rear sway bars (reinforced rear sway bar mount)
-H&R sport springs with eibach shocks
-New (not installed) rear subframe and rear control arm mounts (poly)
    -Skid plate with cross brace

    Brakes:
    -New front/rear rotors/pads
    -Stainless steel brake lines front/rear
    -Painted front calipers (black)

    Drivetrain:
-Stock 5 speed manual transmission filled with Red Line MTL
-New clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, resurfaced flywheel (from KY clutch in Jefferson County, KY – they are not well known, but are top notch)
    -New transmission mounts
-Diff is 3.46 with brand new z3 finned diff cover, new drain/fill bolts, Redline 75w90 with friction modifier
-New diff bushing (poly) not installed
    -New guibo
    -New UUC DSSR
    -Z3 shift rod
-Remanufactured driveshaft installed 22 April 2015 with new CSB, new U joints
    -New rear wheel bearings
    -New transmission rear seal
    -New oil pan gasket
-New intake gaskets (19 April 2016)
-New throttle body gasket (19 April 2016)

    Wheels:
-16” ESM 002 wheels (black centers, chrome lip) with Continental DSWs
-14” basketweaves with blizzaks on 2 x wheels and some general snow tires on 2 x others (1 x tire goes flat)

*I also have a ton of extra parts

    Now for the imperfections:
-Paint on exterior is great, except I forgot to remove the antenna mount. So when I switched to the Z3/E36 antenna, the rubber mount is smaller, which left a slight ring around the mount
-Paint imperfection #2….slight bubbling on the hood, due to not having a heat shield on the turbo downpipe
-ABS light is on (I removed bulb), but haven’t troubleshot this yet. Light is always on, so suspect the relays on the ABS pump (no relay under dash for 91)
-Cracks in dash (not severe but bugs me) in map pocket
-Transmission selector rod seal typical leak (I have the seal, can do it before sale)***Not leaking**** Was residual oil from rear transmission seal that I replaced
-Oil drain tube under intake is weeping *****FIXED*****
    -Valve cover leak: *****FIXED*****
-Rust in spot3 x spotss all under trunk seal). Appear to be just surface and less than the size of a dime. Nothing underneath, no other locations. I am not going to be that guy that says, “rust free, except……”
-A/C components are all there and worked until 5/10/15….must be a leak, even thinking of replacing every component if I keep the car

That is all I can remember…I have plenty of receipts. This was my attempt to have an E30 that was somewhat “new” instead of buying a new BMW….she will not disappoint. She has her flaws, but I would say they are extremely minor. My "make me sell" price is $10,000. The e30 tax is strong with this one.....but I am open to offers to get this sold.

This car has won car awards at two separate events for "Best Import" so I know the quality is appreciated....

More pics....I tired to take a pic of the bubbling on the hood, but it is so faint that it doesn't show up too well on cell phone

        Photobucket:

The interior pics do not show the door panels from front/rear complete. I have added a pic of the passenger door panel complete...all of them are redone.

Yes, I know it can scare some folks away, but once you see how the system is built, it isn't as daunting of an experience

Are you interested in selling the hood bra separately?
How to remove, install or convert to pop out windows
