Odometer and trip meter work again!

Gotta say though--those little spacers are a little tough to install. Required lots of patience.

Glad I saw this thread before I ordered from odometergears.com though. Now they seem like such a ripoff at $85.00!

Just ordered a set for my Motometer! It had a good 21 year run but just bit the dust a few weeks ago.

Replaced mine with the Garagistic kit, MotoMeter, worked great for about 2 weeks and noticed one day my odometer quit working again. Next time I drove it was working. It's been working on and off ever since. I followed the directions perfectly and used the yellow stoppers on both exactly like in the pictures. Kind of frustrated, but it could have to do with something else. Any ideas?

Upon receiving a PM from Garagistic, they let me know that I might've put the yellow stoppers on too tight. Apparently there needs to be a tiny gap between the gears and the yellow stoppers, about a business card's width, otherwise it could cause the gears to bind and not work properly. I'm certain this is the root of my problem as I didn't know this and put them on snug with the gears. My mistake.

+1 to Garagistic for being so prompt on helping with my issue. -1 for me being a dumb dumb.
