    1987 E30 Vert Timing Belt

    Hey Guys -

    I've seen/read a lot of articles around doing a timing belt job, seems very popular. I decided to recently do mine and wanted to share with you the part list I created. It seems everyone has a slightly different take on it but this is what got me through mine ensuring I replaced everything along the way with the correct replacement parts.

    One - 11 31 1 468 743 - INA
    Engine Timing Belt Tensioner Roller

    One - 11 31 1 469 240 - Continental
    Engine Timing Belt

    One - 115 1040 - GMBwaffles
    Engine Water Pump
    with Gasket

    One - 11 31 1 267 746 – Genuine - Optional
    Engine Timing Belt Tensioner Spring

    One - 11 53 1 466 174 - Vernet
    Engine Coolant Thermostat
    80c Degree

    One - 11 12 1 285 609 - Reinz
    Engine Camshaft Seal

    One - 099.201 - Elring
    Camshaft Seal O-Ring

    One - 17 11 1 719 384 – Genuine
    Radiator Drain Plug

      Also a good time to replace the belts of the alternator, power steering and aircon if these haven't been replaced yet.

        Be sure to get the correct WP for your car, there is adifference. Also make sure you dont get the WP with the plastic impeller
