How much would one of you guys be willing to pay for a 3.73 front diff? I have the option to possibly pick one up and the guy told me to throw out an offer.

If I was actually wanting one? No more than $250. Lots of work and money for hardly any change.

I have one and I love it. Swapped it in when I did my 5spd swap so went from 4.10s. I think I paid $300 shipped from Germany about 3 years ago. Paired it with a 3.73 clutch-type from a 325is.

I've also got a 3.64 front and clutch type 3.64 rear that I've been meaning to try out. Paid about the same for the front diff ($300).

It's a shame that most of the Germany listings won't ship to the U.S...so many good parts over there

Yeah, Germany is awesome to find parts for these (and other) cars. I got some more luck being in Belgium but even then, not all sellers even ship to Belgium..

At least larger/heavier stuff like diffs. At least they say they won't ship to the U.S.

I saw a set of cleanish 3.64 diffs for around $250 but wouldn't ship to us :(

                                I've bought 2 diffs.. and a transmission.

yeah, I'm thinking more and more with my new motor I'm going to want 3.64s. The rear isn't a big deal since you can easily source that ring and pinion, I'd just be looking for a front.
