Door handle (pull) squeak

Any suggestions on getting rid of my door handle squeak? When I pull the handle, both sides emit a nice high squeak. Sounds terrible, but just a little annoyance.

I tried WD40 "stays where you spray" and regular WD from the outside.

If I have to pull the door panels, it will probably wait quite a while until it climbs the diy priority list.

Anyone have a similar noise. I don't see any specific e30 threads on it.

The doors don't squeak when opening, just the handle.

So, are we talking bat echo location, mouse tied directly to the handle or human being kicked in the balls squeak?

Could try white lithium grease on the handle. Did that with mine and not a squeak to be heard of since a year ago.
