    Vert rear speakers, 6.5"

Pretty easy install, although it does sacrifice the original speaker small panels/cards. Polk 6.5", with Kenwood small sub under the driver's seat. Much better sound than what was there. Amp in trunk. Used 1" spacer rings on the 6.5 speakers, and ground the mounts to match the curve of the side. I will be changing out the grills to something a bit more low key.

Again, completely reversible with replacement small panel cards. I will pick up a set of spares, as they are easy to find on CL. Still looking for a suitable set of grills.

The sound is a VERY big upgrade over the tinny sounding stock setup. I will be handing the keys over to my teenage daughter in a few years, so tunes will be very important to her.

Why such a large rear mid when there isn't much room to begin with? What about the front speakers?

Well, I appreciate your enginuity, but personally I think it's a travesty to cut up such a pretty interior just so you can hear your tunes better. If you keep your car long enough, you will grow to regret this, or at the very least, the next owner certainly will. Anyone over the age of say... 27 would never do this. You do realize that there are aftermarket speakers you can buy that fit under the grill?

Should I guess that you are in your late teens or early 20's?

No matter what grill you put over them, they will still look out of place.

I like how the color of the cone matches the rest of your interior, but I'm not sure I like the flow of the panel now. Either way it's your car and make sure you post up when you get new grilles!

Did you do that leather piece at the top of your rear seats yourself?

On my '90, I mangled the sheet metal under the cover and forced 8" woofers in there. You couldn't see it but I came to regret it.
