Bump, I need some help on this. I just finished an engine swap and it doesn't run right. I really want to know if it is something stupid before I tear everything apart and try to further diagnose

Unhook the lines and bump the key while looking which line shoots the fuel out.

Don't do what poorboyz said. That's dangerous.

Return comes from the fuel pressure regulator. Feed goes to the fuel rail.

Thanks a bunch guys for all the replies! I now know which one is pressure from the car. I hooked it up to the chrome line coming from the fuel rail, which I believe is correct. So for curiosity's sake, would the car even run with the lines backwards?

              ^^ maybe?

I doubt it though. Can the fpr even flow backwards?

it will not run with them switched. some other lines can be mixed up but still allow the car to run though.
