I'll be there. In MY car.

I'll try to drag along as many E30s as possible, but i plan on dragging along four other E30s as of now.

Me, Matt (MR325), Ryan (I3uller), and a couple friends.

btw, we could wear r3v stickers on our shirts, josh ;)

Don't worry about it. You have bronzit. You may have to stop and clean the weaves to keep your reputation, but don't worry bout the paint. :D

So, is this a drive through the night deal? Its 15 hours straight from my house, not including going to meet people on the way, gas, food, and etc if neccesary. Would the plan be to meet people in parking lots along the route in the middle of the night? As far as I know I dont have a codriver. That is yet anyway that I know of. I dont know if I could hold out for it but we'll see how things pan out :?. My car is a 90 325ic if anybody was wondering. Another thing that Ive always wondered about caravaning long long distances (I have not done it) is what would be the communication between everybody for things such as gas (people will surely need to fill up before others are even close to empty), food, and "ah shit I gotta piss like a race horse!" to keep everybody together instead of dropping like flies along the way. I have my own ideas that doesnt have to include cell phones unless some cars are out of view of the rest of the pack, but am wondering what the general idea is to inform everybody relatively quick.

Never too early to ask questons like this I guess.

I think it would be neat for everybody south of here to slowly start picking up more e30's in a train like a magnet as they go by, every general area (ie extended greater bay area to a particular place nearby sacramento so nobody would have to travel backwards to meet people) a group would get together and we'd wait in a park n ride or similar, and so on for more groups farther north. Obviously the span of the little globs of cars would have to be pretty far apart to be effective but you'd have to drive past where you'd meet anyway to get to WA, so why not wait. Maybe Im thinking too much but I like things organized

I remember driving down to eugene with teh WA guys for the eugene meet, Grant out of no where decides to cut right off into the rest area while James C. and I got caught off guard and had to park on the shoulder. that was certainly unexpected. Cell phones would be the only way to do it, unless everyone has access to a two way radio. Call who ever is in the front to pull over and every one will follow like a flock of birds, given it's with enough notice.

I finally put my r3v sticker on, while preparing for this picnic. I agree this seems like it'll be a big r3v turn out

Give the person in the front and in the back walky talkies, every one else exchange #'s. easiest way to do it. And of course, L33t R3V handsignals will be properly demenstrated at each link up.

                            South of Seattle WA guys,
Do you guys want to meet up in Tacoma at like 8:00am and have a wash/detail session before driving up to the picnic? I'm going to be driving from The Gorge Amphitheatre that morning and need somewhere to wash all of the bugs and shit off of my car.

Lets get a grip of us together that morning.

I'm up for that. I will have washed it the night before, but the trip from Vancouver can be dirty. Where would we wash? Crivellone doesn't wash his car so his place is out. :D
