Enthusiasts who push their high-performance cars to the limit understand the importance of keeping their oil temperatures low to prevent damage, or even seizure of the engine. The Mishimoto Universal 19 Row Oil Cooler will extend the life of your engine by ensuring your essential high-wear engine components such as piston rings, skirts and cam bearings are sufficiently lubricated with cooler oil.
I plan on running coolers on both of mine. Which housings have provisions for them?
Are you going to run a thermostatic switch in your setup?

If you have a m90 or b34 block use e28 535is or M5 oil cooler housing.
If it is b35 block use e34 535is or M5 oil cooler housing. I might have a link to a b34 oil cooler kit in Calif.
Raul: Did you buy the oil cooler lines from someone, or did you have them made?
thanks,
jm
I bought AME fitting, adapters and performance oil lines dash #6 from a performance shop near me. If you going to go that route. I would take oil cooler and oil house to match the threads. Not sure what Hartge used on threads on my Hartge H26.
Yes, oil cooler is leaking a bit, not bad, just enough to make me have to clean it up once in awhile, so thanks for the input. Will be taking care of that this summer....when it warms up!

Hey John.
I would be concern if it was leaking from oil cooler or oil lines. It has high pressure oil on those parts.
I did some soldiering on my wire harness and used heat shrink. I still need to chase some more wires down. Not sure what they would plug into. I been looking on my e30 m3 wire harness for reference.
I was contacted by a guy in Germany that owns a 1987 Alpina B6 3.5. He asked me if I would sell my front Alpina B6 3.5 badge. His was stolen. Alpina does not offer the front badge any more. I said sorry no.
Yes, keeping a eye on the oil leak. It is really just a wetness, but sometime I am sure because of the pressure it will need some attention.
Love to have that alpina!!

i have been getting random contacts about my parts too. especially the gauge pod. i feel like selling this stuff off would be like slapping god in the face. parts were hard to find a half dozen years ago and much harder to find now.

Makes me consider finding a way to push the engine from below than putting it in from the top.
I seen members install the motors from the bottom. I have only done from the top. The Alpina m30 header look nice. See how the back of Alpina headers drop down towards the fire wall. On my s38 BMW euro Motorsport snake headers had to cut them to clear fire wall.

I remember some fat 6'1" r3v member trying to buy your Alpina vent gauge pod. I know he would offer a lot cash for it. I wonder who the ASS hole was😇.
I'm always asked if it for sale. SORRY NO!!!! I also contacted if I'm interested in buying some rare Alpina, Hartge and AC Schnitzer parts.
They can always contact me for info on real authentic Alpina, Hartge and ACS cars and parts. I don't mind sharing if they made it or not. There are copies of some these parts floating around. Trying to sell them as authentic cars and parts.
