I went through the whole M-tech seat stitching/bolsters difference in my M-tech vert build thread. But all the pics are Photobotched now : ( As pointed out in this thread, the M-tech seats have stitching that hugs the sides of the bolsters. If you like this style, it's easy enough to just have your upholster mimic this style. Now, is the foam underneath a different shape or is it just an optical illusion caused by the stitching? I can't confirm, although another person well-versed in verts (screen name Cabriolet) says the foam is the same. I'm not taking any chances though. When I get my seats re-upholstered, I'll be using oem mtech cloth, and I procured a very good condition white appearance package M-tech vert rear seat, from which the foam will come.

Also, in regard to non-Mtech rear seats, I've seen some with a single stitch down the center bolster and others with two stitchings down the center bolster. I think both styles were OE.

Yeah, I'm much the same target. I've actually already purchased the M-tech cloth for my seats. Can't wait to get it finished. I'm definitely going to go with the M-tech style stitching over my existing base stitching. Since my car is Glacier Blue with a blue top and Indigo interior, I'm going with the dark M-tech EVO III cloth in the centers and dark navy Alcantera bolsters. I'm also recovering the door panels (not the actual grips and pockets though), shift boot, and tonneau cover in the Alcantera too.

If someone has an M-Tech, I'd love some nicely lit high res photos of the front and rear seats to show my upholsterer to get the details right.
