I wanna see less of him, and more of the girls pumping.

    And of course, roadies ftw.

haha! My dad just got into biking. His bike is crazy, carbon everything, I can literally pick it up with one finger. The gears alone cost him something like 1500 bux. It's an absolutely amazing bike though.

well, i didnt like road either, till i started doing hillclimbs, and long rides.
the the weight of it is great, average about 10-15 mph higher avg. speed than on my hardtail (comparing rides).
                  great workout too...

I think fixies are a cool trend but I dont really get the advantage that some people think they hold over a roadie.. can someone explain this

Only advantage is "cool-trendster" factor. And it's claimed that they help you pedal more efficiently due to the constant cadence. Also, you get more blood flow in the leg muscles, even if you are not pumping due to muscle contraction-extension.

I like mine mainly for 2 reasons. First, because it feels like I'm working harder, more exercise.

The other is the simplicity, and how bare-bones it is. My bike is at 20.3 lbs. right now. :D

I thought the point of a bike was to make my life easier :p

I guess if I wanted a bike for exercise and not for making travel easier it'd make more sense.
