I don't know, but it concerns me, there only torque'd to 10lb.

I might just ditch them and go with other mounts.

I might sound like a noob, but what kind of wiring adapter do I need to get these hooked up?

        Overdue Updates.

"Big Willy" came in clutch last Saturday and welded & cut my struts for the conversion. I assembled everything and this is the final product.

I'm expieriencing a small problem, maybe one of you can shed some light or give me helpful input on to what is causing this.

When I am driving and I accelerate past 4,000 rpm's, the car starts shaking from around the transmission it seems like.
Also in neutral when the clutch is depressed it makes a chattery funny sound.

Are these problems interrelated? I think it's a throw-out bearing but I've been wrong before.

Sounds like TOB but could be the guibo or CSB failing.

                :)

Car looks great. Hope to see it at the next cars/coffee:).
Check you guibo and if that is shot, check the csb; most likely it is shot too.

I would say sounds like opposite of TOB to be honest, usually they are noisy when idling in neutral, but go away when the clutch is depressed. I know my current TOB is on its way out, and thats the sounds it makes.

Nice car OP, love the seats!

I decided to change my water pump, thermostat, timing belt as precautionary maintenance. I didn't take any pictures:(

I took my hood off to make my life easier while changing out all that stuff and then I took some pictures once I put coolant in the car.

Headers installed, & with the help of my dad, I was able to build a 2.5' full exhaust for the car.

                              More Updates.

After I put my driveline back up, I changed my oil, topped off the coolant and let it run then I drove it and it was a blast.

The next day I checked my dipstick and it looks like I have officially blown a head gasket because my coolant and oil have mixed hard.

If you look close enough you can see the coolant/oil mixture at the bottom.

I decided its time for a 24v, so I started pulling my harness in order to pull the motor out.
It's m50 time folks, i'll be collecting parts for the swap starting now.

Found the cause of my blown headgasket.
My head-studs where only torque'd to 20ish lbs.

The motor I'll be receiving is a
                                M50b25tu out of a 1993 325i.
The engine has been maintained, and has great compression.

List of things I have or receiving.
                                - Motor.
                                - Harness.
                                - Motor arms.
                                - EBay m50 headers.
                                - Garagistic transmission mounts.

List of things I need (feel free to pm me if selling these items.)
                                - M50 red label ecu.
                                - E34 525i oil pan, pickup tube, and dipstick.
                                - 24v swap brake booster.
                                - 24V swap transmission crossmember bracket (will probably order garagistic.)
                                - E28 535i mounts, or condor 24v swap mounts.
                                - clutch/LTW flywheel combo.
