1965 Ginetta G4 Vintage Race Car

Starting life as a 1000cc road car in the U.K., G4 #1089 was completely rebuilt by us and a 1700cc Ford Crossflow engine was installed. Usually driven by Michael Sr., the car has been competitive in VRG Group 2 and SVRA Group 8 alongside machinery like Ford Mustangs, Chevy Corvettes, Porsche 911s, and mid-engined sports racers.

          Thanks Simon! :)

Here's a video to show you guys how potent the car is. The Ginetta starts from the back at NJMP and puts away 911s, some sedans, and two extremely fast Mustangs on its way to first overall.

The car was doing 1:15s at the Lightning circuit, as a point of reference.

A nice bonus: You bring this thing to a car show and start it up, you're just about guaranteed to win and/or surprise the hell out of everyone else.

If I had $62,000 I would get this. Man is that thing quick. What specs did that red mustang have? Looks like it paced you pretty well.

Believe me, the ginetta feels even faster than it looks. I'm not familiar with that particular Mustang, but generally 600+hp (probably more for the front runners), Goodyear Blue Streak racing bias plies, uprated brakes, etc.

And don't forget, Dad had to make up about half a lap to reach that car ;)

Here's another video of the car, this time with me at the wheel at Summit Point. The car hold its own against Formula Fords and one of our shop's other Ginettas! I was turning 1:24s, but the car is capable of faster times.

I've seen this car in person. It's tiny, and looks like a hoot.
