    1984 318i - M10's are pretty cool

I found this forum a few years ago and was always hesitant on buying a 30 year old car. Several months back I decided to pull the trigger on a Beige '84 318i I found and I must say it has been the most fun car to drive. The 1.8L m10 making what I would say 80 horsepower is slow but around the mountains, nothing can compare. It's so light and nimble... But I blew the engine and recently got a replacement from fellow r3v user rasmith9.

These pictures are of her when I first saw her.

Very cool! I've had a white coupe with the same spec for a few months. Just blew the head gasket last week so I'm in the midst of planning the repair. Hoping "Otto" is back on the road soon.

I've got diving boards and a slushbox for the time being. All in time....

That's clean looking, deff keep the M10. I remember swapping out the M10 for a 24V and man was I disappointed on the first drive on how the car handled.
                Sahara beige ?

I think it might be sahara beige, and I like the diveboard bumpers.

It's a nice footrest when I sit on the hood or trunk. Also you can fit a big gulp on there :P

Its definitely Sahara Beige. I refreshed an M10 and did a full paint correction and detail on a Sahara Beige over brown 84 318i. Really neat looking car!

Enjoy the lightness. My friend had a M10 E30 with some toyos on it and to call that car a momentum car was the understatement of the year
