how to tighten blind screw in top

    Hello,

Heard a pop today and it looks as if a screw on my top has come undone. It located just behind where the drivers/passengers head is. I can't figure out how to get the screw to turn without removing the fabric. Any tips or tricks here?

I was probably going to cut the bolt out and insert a new one from the inside facing out. I've uploaded a shot, and a comparison to the good side.

    thanks!

follow up, I got the screw back in by tapping it from the side with an awl to rotate it. very very slowly.

Good job, hopefully it holds down. My suggestion was going to be a rubber band with a pair of channel locks to rotate.

I removed both of those to change a bent hoop and they are dimpled to prevent them from unscrewing. Depending on how much they are dimpled it could damage the threads when you removare them although your damage seems to be that th outer end stripped.

Either way I'd suggest a dab of blue loctite
