BIG minus in my book, but I guess we'll have to see what the valving is like for most guys. Might work out well!

STR.Ts are basically factory replacement dampers.
The valving is very similar to KYB GR-2s.

I was told by Ground Control that the STR.T's were valved about the same as a Koni Sport set to full soft. They may have said "the exact same as", I can't remember to be honest.

              Not even close.

I was involved with them being dyno'd at GC.

They're only slightly firmer than stock. On anything firmer than a sport spring, they will have some bounce. The firmer you go the worse they get.

That's very interesting and helpful (and not what i was told over the phone last week from Donovan). Small mistake I guess.

Do you think that's pretty much the same across different platforms?

Yes, they are only slightly stiffer than stock. On inexpensive "performance" oriented dampers the valving is increased a bit with the expectation they may be used with simple lowering springs which are only 10-15% firmer than what was supplied with the car.

SO theyd probably not be great for My H&R sports. Maybe a better combo for vogtlands.

Good to have somebody here who knows what their talking about!

It seems like H&R OE might count as firmer than a sport spring? Anyone have experience w/ this combo?

It seems only 2 people have had experience with them so far. First guy doesnt like them much and says they bottom out (however he is running with H&R race) and dont come with all parts needed to install. 2nd guy hasnt really stated his opinion yet. I recently opted to just go with kyb's and am thus far happy with the setup.
