Do to the shear cost of parts I have in the car and the # of $2,500 offers I've gotten "because of the rust" I am keeping the car. Once the chassis gives I will find a clean shell to swap all of my shiny parts over to.

Cash talks people. I sold the car to a friend of a friend. He has a clean IX shell and will be swapping all of these parts into his shell.
Did I mention that he drove it about 800 miles home without a single problem??
