    *Price drop* 1988 BMW 325IX 5 speed

This car was originally owned by someone at 3D autoworks in NH.
The guy I bought it from was apparently the 3rd owner.
    The car is very rusty.
Frame rails are solid, but just about every other body part has rust on it. If you are worried, please ask for pictures of specific areas and I would be happy to provide them.
Car has had extensive work done to it by both AVA Restorations in Dublin, NH and Guten Parts + Service in South Orange, NJ.
All receipts will be provided with the car.
Clean MA title and reg. in hand.
    MA inspection expired 1/15

3D Autoworks told me that the head was replaced while they owned it and the cam in it is a re-grind.
Although, it definitely feels like it does have a cam in it, I can not provide this paperwork.

The ODO stopped working at 272,985 before I owned it but I do not think the engine has that many miles on it.
Compression numbers are within +/- 5% hot and +/- 10% cold.

I have done 2 winter rallycross's in it and have daily driven it for 1 year.
Mechanically their really are no problems with the car expect for the 4th gear syncros are pretty much gone.
Mounted are a set of cheap master craft all-season tires. (75% tread) Provided with are a set of 1 season old studded General Altimax Arctic's. 90% tread left. (Only drove on snowy NH back roads with the studded tires on)
Changed tranny, t-case, and both diff's fluid's once a year with proper Redline products.
Changed engine oil and filter every 5k miles
Burns about 1 qt. between oil changes.
    Crack free dash!

Because of the shear cost of brand new parts on the car I am asking $4k Firm
$5k and I will swap the tranny with a fresh rebuilt one from Drivegear Racing. (That costs $1.2k for the tranny alone without labor for install)
Also would consider trades for an E46 sedan. (Preferably a 330xi) A 7.3L diesel Ford. Or a 5.9L diesel Dodge.

NEW PRICE! $2.5k firm. Half of what i originally posted.
    Need gone!!!

Here is a list of the main work that has been done to it:
    New Bilstein HD shocks
    New H&R sport springs

    New front half shafts

    Here are some pictures.
Like I said, don't hesitate to ask for more pictures of specific areas.
Also please don't hesitate to call either AVA or Guten to ask about the car.

Do you people not realize how expensive IX parts add up to be?

I would hope the person buying it isn't intending to seriously drive it.
Your buying +$6k of brand new IX parts for $3k all in a perfectly running and driving package.
Did I mention it comes with a spare oil pan and front subframe?

This is a very good deal!

Had I not dumped oodles of money into my own IX last year I would be all over this if nothing more than for the value of the parts alone.

Someone pick this car up - enjoy it for a while and then put some serious cash in the bank parting it out when the body is finally too ugly to be seen in public.

                    GLWS!
