I'm swapping out my heated comfort seats for sport seats that I'm having reupholstered, and to which I want to add heating.
I know that newer aftermarket heating kits perform better than the OEM, but I want the ease of plug and play and I want to keep the OEM switches.
My upholster thinks that there are aftermarket heating elements that can be put in the seats and that can hook into the original wiring, using the original switches.
From what I've found here on the forums, if you go with aftermarket heaters, that you have to go all the way with their wiring and switches.
Is this still true? Or is there a way that I connect new heating elements to my original wiring?
