So I need a small BMW motor with a little bit of get up and go...

I'm doing a project that most of you will find blasphemous. I plan to put a BMW engine (or any engine I can find that I like for a decent price) in the midsection of an Isuzu pickup. Well, still deciding on mid engine or front, but for now its mid, still leaving usable bed. Its an absurd project involving more electronics than more people have in their house, but it should be fun.

    Suggestions? Offers?

    Find a wrecked E46.
    That'll make it go.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

Wankel for the size! Or just a m10/m42/44.

The thought has crossed my mind more than once. Have you seen what people want for electric and forklift motors these days?

As an Isuzu fanatic and E30 owner, I approve of these shenanigans!

An M42 would be pretty fun in one of those.

VW 2.0. It's actually already been done in Chumpcar.. But they are cheap motors and can last forever.

You would be amazed how often they intertwine.

God I wish, that would make life so much easier.

I think half the back seat is getting removed, the rest turned to storage, to accommodate the engine I'm working on. The chassis needs a lot of love, but that's not an issue, it'll be done in matte black vinyl when its done, and I've got a gorgeous pair of sport seats that I'm going to adapt in.

Got the rotisserie done this weekend so I can get things turning so to speak.
