The contacts on the relays looked pretty terrible, I cleaned the the sockets with electrical contact cleaner. As far as the grounds go I only have one installed at the moment (the one from the oil pan to the driver side fender wall, and it's brand new).

I had to replace my fuel pump relay socket, and the car has 4-5 grounds, I'm guessing for a reason.

These are high quality, I replaced all of mine with them.

Are the sockets hard to replace? I'm sure there is a reason for all the grounds but the car was fine before with only that one ground so I'd rather not spend anymore into it until it's working. I've spent a small fortune already.

The socket is cheap and easy to replace. Grounds are important.

              Dear ParkerBink,

I really appreciate all the advice you have given, you are really a knowledgeable guy, and thank you for all the time you have dedicated to my issue alone. It seems as if the real problem was a performance chip that did not want to function correctly with my car. I have reverted back to an old one I knew worked with my car and the problem is solved. Again thank you very much for all your help and attention. Also you'd be happy to know that I will be replacing all my ground wires just for you. :)

I'm glad you worked t out. I'm just giving back, most all I know about e30s was given to me by someone here.

You will not be sorry doing the grounds, they help.

When you are ready I strongly suggest a SSSQUID chip, they make it specifically to your mods and are great.
