Getting a 5-speed and M50 swap at the same time...

If I were to swap to both M50 and 5-speed at the same time, what parts should I not bother getting? For example, maybe the M20 Getrag 260 clutch does not go with the M50 clutch, although I will be bolting the Getrag 260 up to the M50.

So, I am bolting up a Getrag 260 up to an M50, neither of which are in my car yet, so any parts I shouldn't get?

With the 260 you'll want to use the m20 clutch, flywheel, and starter.

Might be a good time to get a lightweight flywheel and short shift kit.

Do it! Trust me...you'll never go back once you do.

I ahve a Metric Mechanic Lightweight. And, now my dad's M3's flywheel feels heavy even! LOL 8)
