I actually spoke to VAC today and I've decided to go with CP 9.0:1 pistons, as they work with this specific application. Also, you're correct about the JEs.

My 2.8L stroker was built in the year 2000, so I am not sure it will be much help, but I am running Mahle Pistons for low compression

So I've decided to go with:

        -M52B28 Crank
-CP 84.5mm bore 9.0:1 compression pistons for the the M52 crank and 135mm rods
        -135mm SP Components (VAC) Rods
        -VAC Performance main bearings
        -VAC Performance rod bearings
        -VAC Oil pan baffle
-All needed oem gaskets from VAC
        -Crankshaft spacer

Hopefully this should do the trick

Looks great. You could save a lot though going with the same products from other vendors though if that's something on your mind.
How about your head and f/i components?
