      Great write-up, thanks! What technique would you recommend for cleaning up the lenses? Just windex and hope for the best or would it be feasible to polish out some of the exterior pitting without it looking like ass?

                      Do I really need to pull the projector out of the housing? the screws that hold it in on my US ellipsoids are not exactly normal, I have no clue what type of tool I need to take them out, they look almost like the one way fasteners people use when they want something to be tamper proof.

                        The US housing does in fact use anti-tamper screws. You can loosen them with pliers and usually remove them the rest of the way by hand. They will thread back in with a normal flathead, or you can replace them with something else with a standard head from a hardware store.

                              I think it was 22ga steel. Thick enough to be sturdy, but no so much so that my tin snips wouldn't cut it.

                                as far as you can tell jordan, has the SEM paint on the crosshairs held up to the heat?

                                Also does anyone know where to get new adjusting screws (besides the dealer)?
