using autozone rental tools
I'm just curious since I have to replace the rear wheel bearing in my car does anyone know if the bearing tool that Autozone rents will work?

No but just rent it if it doesn't work you get your money back.

I did the autozone thing once before. You don't rent it so much as you buy it and as long as all the tools are present and not screwed up, they take it back no questions and final cost is $0.

I know how their tool rental program works.. What I don't know is will the tool they offer do the job? I know BMW says it requires a special tool to do the removal and installation of the rear wheel bearing but that tool costs $300. I'm looking for an easier and cheaper way out. I just don't want to rent their tool and rip **** apart just to find out I'm screwed and it doesn't work.
