    I up dated pics. The oil sencor was designed to use a m20 one. The Hartge H35 or H35-24 were made of aluminum.

      na I was talking about the OP.. his sump is steel where as all m20 sumps are ally is what I was geting at

        I have a few other hartge parts from the same car which are authentic. I'll snap some pictures this weekend. The pan didn't look real to me but you never know about some older pieces.

          The e21 M20 had a stamped steel sump exactly like the one pictured.

          Unfortunately you missed out on the very excellent e21 320/6 and 323i in the US :D

          The rest of us got steel sumps on our M20s in the e21.
          My e30: OEM+ with M30B35

            The M20 found in the 528e's also ran the same steel pan found on the m20 320i's.

                  Added two pictures to the original post. One manifold came with the pan and has a similar hartge badge and another came from a different car.
