Someone put a ton of work into it. Good on them, but they could have at least given it an M42.

wow! desert sand. about 8 or so years ago, one of my neighbors had a 73 tii for sale in this color. it was restored nicely except the interior was some aftermarket orange velour. he was asking 8k for it at the time. i was thinking that was a shit ton too much money. oh well. i guess i was off the mark on that one.

So I was hanging out with dude yesterday parting out his E46 and we got to talking about cars in general. This guy was in his early 50s prolly to give you an idea. He starts getting nostalgic about e30s with m10s... so I tell him everyone online rags on those as the worst engine possible for the chassis. He shakes his head and tells me they have great bones and the m10 is the same base for bmws f1 car that pumped out 1500hp.

                Thoughts?

While that is true, go ahead and drive an M10 equipped E30 and get back to us. You will be about as far away from impressed as you can get.

Disclaimer: an auto M10 in an 84 318i got me into E30's.

You have to make a build thread. Include the original deer pix..

Me either. That one craptastic car had rust in the door jambs.

                              You are correct Kershaw.

I emailed the seller a week or so ago. This is not the same car.

The seller is a complete waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, with a capital "C". Harassed me over email when I didn't respond to him within two days. Reported my email to Craigslist, the whole nine yards. I would not engage the seller unless you really really want what he is selling.

                                1989 325I bmw E30 - $6000 Craigslist San Diego (Solana Beach)

I am looking for an E30 coupe with manual transmission. I don't mind doing some cosmetic work on the interior (like replacing seat covers, dash) or minor mechanical repairs.

For personal nostalgic reasons, I would most like a 1990 325i in Delphin Gray, which is the car I bought in 1990 and (still) regret trading in for a MB 400E two years later. I don't want any modifications if possible. My budget is less than $20K.

Here is one on Craigslist San Diego, any opinions?
