SOLVED: ended up being the seat belt warning timer relay mounted on the steering column. Unplugged and everything works.
Hey guys, I'm blowing fuse 10 on my 87 325is. It blows immediately after putting the key in position 2. So far I have unplugged the connector under the shift boot that feeds the reverse lights, the instrument cluster, the connector near the ECU, relays 5 & 7, and it still blows. I couldn't see any obvious short or problem near the fuse box or the firewall, although I didn't pull the whole wiring boot apart. Any ideas where the issue could be? I just replaced the starter, could that be related? (Although it blows in position 2 before starter is engaged) Thanks.
