    CV axle differences

I am about to order new axles for my 86 and was curious if there are differences throughout the years? The reason I ask, Rockauto has nothing listed for the 86 but has axles for my 88. Realoem.com shows two different part numbers but I can't find what the differences are, if any.

Tone rings for the ABS, maybe...

They will hit the inside of the hub on a very early car. 2- 87 wasn't a problem: I dunno when they changed over.
Often, the tone rings can be cut off with a chisel, and that lets them fit.

Thanks toby. Mine has/had abs so the ring won't be a Problem if that's the only difference. I ordered a set so I guess we'll see. $490 worth of parts ordered. ..... don't trek the wife. ..
