    Want to borrow/rent trans jack

Is anyone near Seattle/Bothell/Issaquah/Renton willing to let me borrow or rent their transmission jack? I just need it for June 2 (would preferably pick it up before then and drop it back off on the 3rd)

I have one in Bremerton. I really do suggest getting your own though, they work great for more than just transmissions (differential too for instance). find a HF coupon

I got the 20% HF coupon in the mail yesterday. I'd rather borrow one than drop $90 if possible.

Can you not just use a spare jack and some wood or something?

Ps. I'm looking for a m52 cam locking tool...

...or be a man and just muscle it in.

Our transmissions aren't that heavy. I've removed by hand at least a dozen times.

Correct and I've done plenty of e30's by hand, however an e36 auto and the zf 5 speed that's replacing it are a little more difficult.

I could but why not make it easier with the trans jack?

also, I have a camlock tool you can use.

Yeah I guess having the right tools can really pay off, I had the same attitude about my wheel bearing and rain rider was able to help me out with the proper tools. And sorry rain rider but the diff you were interested in is in fact open.

I'd really appreciate being able to borrow the locking tool! Can I let you know in a week or two when I have all the parts ready to go in? Thank you so much, and let me know if there are any parts you're looking for.

I use a motorcycle jack for trans and diff work. Makes it a hell of a lot easier than a normal jack.

You can borrow mine but I'm pretty far south (Tacoma).
