My reasoning for the price drop from $1150 to $1000 was due to the fact that there is now a small imperfection on one of the wheels.
I was backing up alongside a curb and my front wheel got a little too close and just kissed it. The curb left a very light rash mark along the rim of the wheel for about 10" or so. I instantly stopped once I heard the sound but it was a bit too late.
The front passenger wheel now has a very light curb rash. As indicated by the photos between the blue tape marks, its so light tha in some spots it's merely clear coat that has chipped off. Towards the end of the curb, it's slightly deeper, but at no point is it so deep that it isn't fixable. I could see a wheel repair shop charging less than $100 for it to look good as new, or even a DIY job of an hour or so sanding the area with high grit sandpaper and using rattle can clear to reseal the sanded area.
Like I said, the rash is very light/shallow and could easily be fixed for cheap.
Not to be "that guy" but fyi the first post shows how much you paid for them...
Not to be "that guy" but your comment shows just how inconsiderate you are. You realize shipping them would cost at least $175-200 right? So you want him to let go of them for a third of his asking price?
Go ahead and walk into any dealership and offer 1/3 of the price on anything under the rooftop. You'll be booted instantly...
If they're in the same condition as I sold them, the tires alone are worth more than that.
The current seller is a great guy, and his price is fair. Can't afford to throw him a reasonable offer? Just don't comment at all!
I agree it was a low-ball offer but his price is twice that of what you sold them for. I don't see how buying something and sitting on it for a year warrants doubling the price.
You are correct though my comment was in bad taste. I apologize

I sold them for $1000, he's selling them for $900. If anything, that's taking a hit, not doubling the price.
I think you may have been confused by the price of the tires. If you look a few posts down from the original post, you'll see my original asking price.
First post says $246 for front $221 for rear. Didn't realize you meant the rubber sorry. This is still a super nice set of wheels so glws and enjoy the free (although unnecessary) bumps
