Haircuts. Where and how much $$?

With r3v being famous for our collective frugality, I thought I would ask where you get your haircut, how much you pay, and how much you tip.

Currently I pay $8 for a shampoo and cut, and leave a $3 tip. I need to find a new place though cause they are not as good as they used to be.

I paid $20, $12 cut and threw the other $8 as a tip as I sauntered out to my e46.

Now, free. I've managed to get every GF I've ever had to cut my hair for me, for free.

    Fuck spending money.

I cut my own hair. Ha! I'm thinking about going to a legitimate salon though, my skill is subpar.

I spend about 20 bucks a cut (including tip). My friend's uncle owns a barber/salon that does awesome cuts with hot stylists. Been going there for years and i only pay $15 before tip, normal price of $22.

I've been avoiding getting my haircut and I can't decide what I want to do with mine...

$14 for for cut and hot shave, and toss the 6 in for tip. I use the same barber everytime and the shop has a hot chic doing the shave so that worth it twice a month.

You get 2 haircuts a month? I thought I was overdoing it by going once every 2 months!

Supercuts, $17 + $8 tip. Cut and Shampoo.

Summer: I use a #4 on the top and fade in the sides doing it myself. I have actually gotten pretty decent at it over the years.

Winter: I go to one of the mens only hair places that claims to have hot women but really they are just younger. The do give a 5 minute hot oil neck massage before shaving the back of your neck and will do a 10 minute scalp massage after a 5 minute shampoo if you have time. I end up at about 15-18 there and usually just pay $25 total. Believe me the neck massage part is well worth the whole $25, I leave there feeling more refreshed than I could ever imagine for something so simple.

if you're in socal, you are doing yourself a disservice by not going to Ralph's Barber Shop in Pomona.

Specialties: Traditional barbering, precision haircuts, and hot towel straight razor shaves. Special care to children's first haircut; which includes a Certificate. Three State Board Certified Barbers, with 40 years' experience. We specialize in Flat Tops (a lost art), razor fades, and any gentleman's haircuts. We maintain a fun and comfortable family environment. Established in 1960. Ralph's Barbershop opened in 1960 in Pomona. It is now owned and operated by Ralph's grandson.

Ralph's is a real gem. It's been around for decades, and is now manned by Ralph's son, Rick, who is now grooming his son, Bryson, to take over when Rick retires.

True barber shop, all the dirty talk, and vulgarity that ensues when men get together, but as soon as a woman walks in, it's all quiet and gentlemanly.

Rick knows almost everyone by name, by my third visit, we were talking like old chums. He looks like a big scary guy, but truth is, he's one of the nicest men I've ever met. Last Christmas, he gave me a jar of his own brewed Moonshine. Also to, he's invited me over to his house for BBQ and Smoked Rips countless times. He has even become good friends with my GF. Even better, if I go later in the day before he closes, he'll usually pop open a beer and hand one over to me to drink while he's cutting my hair.

The best part, I wear an old school pompadour, and he grew up with the greasers, his father was an OG greaser, and Rick cuts a mean pomp.

All for $10. He will even use a straight razor to clean up your sideburns and neck. For $5 more, he'll take a hot towel to your face, and shave it with a straight razor.

If you're within an hour of Ralph's Barber Shop, check him out, and tell him Karlo sent you, the Asian with the Pompadour, He'll know who you're talking about.

$15 set of clippers from CVS (the kind that plug straight into the wall, none of that battery-powered bullshit) and I've been cutting my own for years...I can't really style it much so i tend to just buzz with 2 different lengths side/top

Get it cut by whatever barber shop is near me and catches my eye once a year for xmas/holidays, mostly $20ish with tip at a hair cuttery or similar. Looking around for a more small barbershoppy place this year

$30 tipped at a salon. I could find a true barber for cheaper but this place is within walking distance and they do a good job.
                              Im now E30less.
