I bought this coupe over the winter thinking i would do a turbo build. I already have a 87 vert and a DD, im running out of room, money, and desire to work on both e30s. I already have a ton of stuff for this car and might keep it to do the turbo build on so i can enjoy the vert this summer without down time.
1988 325is
Automatic
Lachssilber/Natur
motor is strong
Ac works
body is in pretty great shape, there is a little surface bubbles on the rear pass wheel well.
I have never registered the car, its is titled to me.
The shell and motor are solid, the accessories are not so great.
Things i know:
Clear title, 2 minor fender benders in the past that are fixed up great
Newer paint, a buff would make this look pretty great.
PO told me the motor only has 50k on it, replaced new by mechanic after tbelt popped.
AC works!
Blower motor is angry at low speeds
pass window doesnt operate
roof operates with assistance
wipers are finicky (fuse)
2 beat weaves 2 caps I have a full set of minty caps with decent all seasons if you prefer
newer battery
door locks dont work correctly
cracked dash
beat seats
interior is rough (although carpet isnt bad)
us ellipsoids
good condition late model front valance
replaced tie rod, needs alignment
bilsteins in good shape
driveline vibration, could be diff or csb. Havent had a chance to check. If it is the diff, i have a perfectly working 3.73 open available.
I have some stuff i have purchased for it that we can talk about as a package
better tail lights and new gaskets
new locks (all matching)
working sunroof motor
power lock unit
crack free dash just with 2 small holes on the far left side from a badge holder
random switches and tweeter
real euroweaves and caps (need refinish)
skidplate red46 - used but still good
m50 bmw injectors
new odometer gears VDO
bumper conversion with hardware
working blower motor
viper alarm
full 5spd swap (missing flywheel currently) has z3 short shifter
3.73 open diff works perfect
etc etc
It starts runs and drives (it made a 2 hrs drive home in the winter with just tire flat spotting from sitting and some driveline vibration)
Looking to break even on the car and keep it in the r3v family, its a nice color, good body and strong motor. If nothing happens, ill maybe hang onto it for when im finished with the vert.
Im sure there is stuff im forgetting.
Looking for $2000 for just the car.
