    Same codes as you! We replaced the vanos, majority of the CCV system, valve cover gasket twice (don't these suck to instal compared to a m20!), and many other things. His newest codes are for misfires in all 6 cylinders, P0170, and P0173. It gets worse though, he needs smog done by the 17th and hes high in HC's. I highly doubt its the cat cause the car just went on 100k. Its a 98' 328i e46.

      I would do the whole CCV system, it gives you those random misfires because its so clogged up, and chokes air to certain parts of the engine. Check the intake spreader (mine was really clogged) too.

        Wow awesome deal and nice car! The difference after cleaning the headlights is amazing.... Looks like a whole new car from the front. I loved the emojis after the valve cover replacement haha

              Did some tidying today. Amazed at the results.

                    Wonderful. Bad plugs were causing the sluggish speeds when kicked in the ass

                    Time to order plugs, in the meantime....

                    Its the small stuff that counts

                            OMG yay. I was flipping through the pages of your thread thinking, "Please get some Gunk to clean that..." :up: The kind in the spray bottle as opposed to the can seems to last longer too, so keep an eye out for it. ;)

                                Yea, Wheeler Dealers the TV show has a spray bottle like that. Gotta find out what chemical they use to degrease.
