    Work continues.

All the parts that are being painted are finished and back, ready to go in the motor.

But first, we need some more parts of one of the random OBD1 motors laying around.

Found an old video (in car) of the Stromung exhaust while the car had an M50.

I'll get something better after the S52 is in.

            Nice work!

I went from an M50 to an S52 myself. You will be very very pleased!

Awesome! I've read about your car as well. Definitely impressive! I'm so freakin' excited for this car to be ready. This summer is going to be great.

UPDATE (from the end of 2016)

SPEZZANO MOTORSPORTS in Ottawa Ontario moved to a new location, so the cars had to all be moved as well. That's why the build has been on hold a little.

(The 335 in the garage is a nightmare of epic proportions. Alas...)

Disconnect all the bits and pieces to get the engine out of the car. Don't forget anything!! :D

GET THAT M50 OUTTA HERE!! (No pic of standing in the bay, sorry.)

Compare these two. Just having a newly rebuilt engine going in makes me happy for the future of this car.

              Engine should be in soon!

                IT'S IN!

S52 just has to be hooked up and we're off to the races. (not literally)

I dunno if anyone is actually reading this, but I'll keep posting for my own record I suppose.

RockAuto is supplying Spezzano Motorsports with some of the parts for this build, which is nice of them. (in exchange for currency)

                  Installed:

                  Flywheel bolted on:

Pull the engine out cuz the bay needs to be painted:

Close up of the V-Band mod on the S52 headers:

Install the coil packs (some of the boots had to be replaced)

GOD DAMN IT. The SACHS OEM clutch disk managed to last about 10k kms.

I was thinking of doing a warranty replacement, but I don't have proof that I resurfaced the flywheel at the time of install. :(

I'm going to be throwing in another Sachs OEM disc for the time being, though I'm considering the eBay "Fx Racing + Sachs HD Pressure Plate" combo.

So in the end, I went through GripForce for one of their upgraded material clutches.

That will be paired with a OEM Sachs pressure plate.

                            I'm watching too haha.

Is this S52 going OBD1 or OBD2? I see some header O2 plugs, OBD1 coolant temp, and the OBD1 PCV setup, but OBD2 knock sensors.

I get that you've already got a modded OBD1 harness from the M50, so you won't get any flack from me lol.

Yeh, it's just going to be OBD1 for now. I priced out the tune from some people and it seemed kinda pricey. (plus I don't even have half the OBD2 parts that I'd need)

I don't know that running OBD2 adds THAT much, over some diagnostic abilities?

ALSO: I forgot to post this old video of that bike's first start up. It's winter, we could all use a summery pick me up.
