Need wiring help e38 harness

Hi guys,
I have an engine from 728i e38 and harness doesn't have the x20 i am confused do i :
1- need to change the harness?
2- or just connect the wires by colors to c101 if the wire color codes in e38 harness are the same color codes as in the e36 harness using the e36 wiring codes?
3- are there any differences in these e38 m52 engines from the e36/e34 that i need to take care during my swap?
4- do i need to reinforce the subframe since it's 2.8 (heavy iron block)?

Good thing: e38 oil pan is the same as the e34 (front)

The colors should be pretty much the same as in e36 harness. But I wouldn't trust purely on those colors. Check that they are really the wires you think they are. You can see how to do that in video of mine: https://youtu.be/euxmWXAJg9U
Most of the wires that you need are in the left most connector.
