Our target is about 250hp using the stock Evo3 AFM. We have plans to ditch it for a standalone system, which get us closer to the 275hp mark we ultimately want.

The machining for the head work cost us $1200, but we supplied all the parts to the shop.

The M3 radiator wasn't a direct fit into the 318 chassis so we fabricated mounts for it. One of those failed. The coolant leaked out from the holes in the radiator until the car overheated.

Here's pictures of the new pistons we used.
They have less dome and gave us the 11.5:1 CR we were shooting for.

Major bummer! At least it seems like this 2.5 project is humming along quite nicely.

        What profile are the schricks?
Were the original pistons for the 2.5L build from a source in Germany?
Are you trying to get 250fwhp or rwhp?

front wheel HP? WTF? Do you mean crank?

The build looks nice. Can't wait to see some finished pics with the motor back in.
          Keep on Keepin' on.

Uncle, make sure you grease the front CV joints on your M3 every 30K with a high quality synthetic.

              jk

That piston dome looks familiar, almost like the ones available on e30shop.de.

UNCHLCLL: I think he means 250 at the engine, as it appears it will be just over E3 spec from the parts list.

I agree, otherwise it was a bit lofty, especially if its targeted while using the E3 AFM. I just wanted to confirm.

Yeah, those are crank numbers we're shooting for.
The pistons were sourced from a shop in CA, Top End Performance
I still have 'em and they're available if you're looking.
Schricks are the 284/276 right now.
