    1988 325ix - 78,xxx miles - 2nd owner

FS: 1988 325ix 2dr sedan in Diamondschwarz Metallic (gray leather interior).
    Price: $16,500

The time has come to finally let her go. I am the second owner of this car. I bought it from the original owner in November of 2011. When I purchased the car it had 59,xxx miles on the odometer. Over the past 3.5 years, I have driven a mix of highway and city mileage, adding roughly 19k miles to the car.

The car will come with the original BMW floor-mats as well as a 2-year old set bought new from BMW (e30 floor mats). Also included are the 4 original 15" ix basketweave wheels with 205/55R15 all season tires with minimal wear on them (less than 10,000 miles). I have the original steel spare wheel, but I also purchased a single 15" ix basketweave to use as a spare. Both are included in the sale.

As many of you all know, the 1988 ixs came fully loaded with all "is" options. This includes the 13 button OBC (everything works) along with the full check panel (everything works), sport interior, power sun roof, power windows, cruise control, rear-deck spoiler, etc. In my album you will see pictures of all options.

For the car, I have all records since new, including the original purchase receipt and window sticker. I have also kept a gas mileage log throughout my ownership. This will be featured as an image in the online album. Every maintenance, repair, and upgrade item that you can think of has been done to this car. It runs and drives like new.

You'll notice in the pictures that the car is currently sitting on a genuine set of Alpina 16x7 wheels with 205/50ZR-16 BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires with minimal usage (less than 3,500 miles). These wheels are NOT included in the sale. They were bought from a collector who had owned them but never mounted them. They are for sale. Asking: $3,000 for the wheels with tires, original center caps, and original keys. I also have the original Alpina boxes included with the wheels.

I also have a set of 4 15x6 MSW Type 85 wheels with 195/60R15 Yokohama Ice Guard winter tires available for purchase. These were bought new in October 2014 for $762 and used for 1 winter season. They performed perfectly and are in excellent condition.

    Basic summary:
    • 1988 325ix 2dr sedan in DS Metallic - BMW gray leather sport interior with gray carpets.
    • 78,xxx miles.
    • m20b25 6 cylinder motor.
    • Body: 2 door sedan.
    • Color: original paint - Diamondschwarz Metallic. Overall condition of paint is an 8/10. With a light buffing, I think you could get it closer to a 9-9.5.
    • Car has been garage kept for about 95% of its entire life.
    • Crack free dash.
    • Working AC - all ac hoses and components (compressor/condenser) have been replaced in 2014.
    • AWD works very well.
    • Mark D 93 Octane Chip.
    • CV boots were replaced on both sides over the past 2 years.
    • Steel DOT bumpers (often referred to as diving board bumpers) were removed in February 2014. They were replaced with brand new OE plastic bumpers from BMW, painted DS to match by Monty Motors in South Orange, NJ. All new trim pieces and indicators were installed at the same time.
    • Powder coated valve cover and intake manifold, new heat shields, a Wiechers strut bar, a custom leather shift boot and brake boot, along with a custom wrapped MtechII steering wheel were installed in February 2014 along with euro grilles. I have the original grille & original MtechI steering wheel to include in the sale.

Thanks. I've heard positive and negative feedback on the bumper swap. My thought remains that the DOT "diving board" bumpers really never should have existed in the first place. So I got rid of them as soon as I had the chance.
