Has anyone gotten 24v swapped though DEQ with out cat?

Finished the swap but I hate my exhaust, thinking of building a whole set up soon, but thinking about not running a cat, anyone ran with out and pass deq? this car just passed, and its a 318i using a old 325e cat with a m50b25tu, no problems

install 1, then have it removed later, although you need to do it yourself, no shop will do exhaust without adding 1

Leave the cat in....my car is an 85' and in Australia we don't need cats pre-87' i think (never came with one new), i've got a wideband and the AFRs are good but the exhaust just stinks. I'm putting a cat in......

No real benefit to not having one.

        deq

i have the m50tu and a punched out cat and it passed emission.
here's a neat fact if the motor is running right it should be able to pass emissions with out a cat that's if the motor is in proper working order.
