SOLD!
This car was listed on here previously but I think its about time for an update.
History:
The car started life as a rust free 325i and was bone stock when I purchased it. The interior was shot and the engine had an issue but the body was super clean and straight so I bought it. The first things I did to the car after getting it back in good shape mechanically was the black sport interior. Despite some panels being repainted and not cleared and a few dents and dings, the car cleaned up very well and I drove it in stock form for awhile. The next upgrade was a full bilstein sport and Eibach spring kit (B12 kit on Bav) which is still in the car and I have enjoyed very much. My buddy then bought an E36 M3 and I started craving more power... and we all know how that goes. Around then my engine started giving me some problems with compression and so on so I decided to pull the trigger and start gathering S50 swap parts. While gathering parts I eventually found the 95 S50 engine with 100k on it and I bought it and had it shipped out from Colorado. I started disassembling the car that spring.
The Build:
I have a book of records of the build process which I kept during the project. I did not want to skip any corners on the car. Everything I needed I got the best pieces I could find/afford that would fit the set up I wanted. Here is a brief list of some of the notable parts used (I have my complete records/parts list I can send to anyone interested):
- Full stainless supersprint euro exhaust from headers back
- Raceland longtube headers
- Bimmerworld CABs
- UUC Underdrive pulleys
- 3.5" HFM and Silicone intake tubes
- Markert custom wire harness
- AKG Engine mounts
- 3.25LSD
- Zionsville Project Orca Brake booster
- Fully reinforced subframe/trailing arms
- Bilstein/Eibach suspension setup
- IE 22/19 F/R sway bar kit
- Mishimoto radiator with Spal 16' Pusher and Aluminum expansion tank
- Quick ratio Z3 Rack
- UUC Short Shift kit with DSSR
- Full autometer gauge set (Water temp, oil temp, oil pressure)
- Full urethane bushings front to back
- JBRacing Flywheel and South Bend clutch kit
- D Force 15x7 wheels with G-Force Rival S 225/45 tires
The list goes on... You can read about a lot of the progress in my pseudo post-build thread here (please note the car no longer has the Wilwood pedal set): http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=375795
Currently:
As the car sits it has everything aforementioned, a bunch of weight loss, and a really well running engine. The body is still clean and rust free, most of the panels are in good shape except for one or two with a few dents. Some of the paint is fading which i tried to capture on the roof and fender (sunroof and a few fenders and panels have been repainted). The rear parcel shelf is installed with black BMW premium sound housings but obviously the car has no radio or speakers. The carpet has been removed but i have been considering sourcing a cardinal carpet for it to make it appealing to buyers. The exhaust tips have a slight bend to them as you can see in the photos and that is from when the headers had to be "finessed" into the engine bay and would be relatively easy to correct. Milage on chassis is 144xxx and milage on engine is roughly 104xxx.
Getting to the point, I love this car, and I hate to be selling it. I am not really in any rush to sell it but I am a motivated seller. I have significant money and time into this build and I am more than happy to answer any questions or concerns.
Asking $11,500. I'm somewhat negotiable, but I recommend seeing and driving the car in person. I really want this car to go to a good home were it will be taken care of and driven, but please note how much time, money, effort has gone into this car to get it to where it is. If you have any interest in the car or have any questions or would like more info, please contact me, Im happy to chat about it. Thanks a lot guys.
