Deep exhaust tone but not too "smooth"

Current setup is stock manifolds into a y and 2.5 single
the rest of the way
I have a dynomax ultraflow and a thrush glasspack
as a resonator

I really like the deepness and that it has no rasp.
But it is way too smooth sounding
It has no separation in the sound. No growl as
some might explain it

What is a good way to get my separation back?

Maybe a smaller resonator? Current one is 24 inches long

Or replace it with a hiflow cat??

Different muffler? I see that people really enjoy the sound
of a flow master 50

Try a High Flow and remove the resonator. then get either a Vibrant Muffler 1032 or Magnaflow 14815.
