No speedo after Diff seals change

I changed the diff seals and put it back together, now the speedo is not functional. Please shed some light. Thanks.

Did you plug the sensor back in?

The wiring for the sensor often gets brittle and breaks. Check for broken wires.

I didn't take the diff out and didn't disconnect the wire, it's intact.

Yes, I disconnected the half shafts and reconnected them again. While putting the cups back the diff internals were loose but I aligned and put them back together. The car drives but I just drove it for a very short distance though.
