Oil pan thread

Need all your help on this.

My oil pan threads worn out where the drain plug fits. Is it an easy fix? or do I have to change the whole oil pan?

You can try a coarser

if its screwed up and threaded. Then you can try a coarser thread bolt, it might hold just fine. If it doenst just locktite until you get a new pan.

You don't need a new pan. And don't louse it up with loctite or a course-thread bolt.

Install a thread insert (timesert). My car is proof that it works.

Actually in my case it was already installed when I bought the car. The shop where the p.o. had the car serviced installed it. I know it's in there, because I had the oil pan out to replace the pan gasket. It works very nicely, and the stock drainplug is retained.
